SEPTA Grants & Donations
SEPTA Grant Instructions and Application
The purpose of a SEPTA grant is to distribute funds, materials and/or equipment that will benefit the students of our district. Any Wantagh staff member who works with children with disabilities is eligible to apply for a SEPTA grant. Is there a project you always wanted to do with your special education students that is outside of the curriculum? Apply for a SEPTA Grant and fund your creative endeavor that will enhance the education for your special education students.
What are the SEPTA Grants?
The Grants are $50 - $250 awards to support any teacher who works with special education students (students with an IEP or 504) to purchase materials, equipment, or supplies for learning experiences, activities, or projects that help special education students learn, engage, and enhance their academic or social skills.
Who can apply?
Teachers that work with special education students (i.e.: special education and general education teachers, P.E. teachers, art teachers, librarians, etc.) can apply. One teacher or a group of teachers can apply and the money must be used to help students in special education. Grants will be awarded to teachers at all school levels (elementary, middle, and high school).
When can I apply?
Teachers can apply throughout the school year from September through April.
